GRAPHICS | UNK ATHLETICS
I create all of my athletics graphics in Adobe Photoshop and really lean into the details like layering, lighting, typography, and color. These are some of my most recent pieces and the ones I’m most proud of. I focus on keeping a strong, consistent athletic style across everything I make.

Central Missouri Gameday
For this football graphic, I used a gold foil texture in the text to bring dimension to the post. I used the shadow from the photo taken to help it feel realistic and cohesive with the rest of the background.
Missouri West Gameday
I am proud of how this graphic turned out because the gradient map of the background blends with the background player’s jersey. I also used the color range tool to make only the blue color stand out on the background athlete to create more of a focus on the quarterback running the ball.
Wayne State Gameday
This was the graphic I created for football’s first gameday this season. I used a gradient map in the background and an aerial view of the opponent’s field. This graphic set the template for the rest of the games.
Basketball Graphic
This was the template I used for all of the basketball graphics this year. I would use a halftone filter on the background to bring an artistic feel to the post but still made sure the athlete was recognizable and stood out to show a male and female basketball player.
Girls and Women in Sport Day
For National Girls and Women in Sports Day, I wanted to create a graphic that felt cohesive but gave each sport their own time to shine. I used many layers and masks to remove the color from the background of the photos to showcase the athletes, but to keep each sport seperated and highlighted. I prioritized using photos with a mix of emotion and action to make the graphic feel dynamic and powerful.
Track
I created track graphics for each of they meets, so I wanted them to be quick to make but still unique looking. I change the two athletes every week and the background based of where the meet is. I use a transform distort effect to create realistic looking shadows for the athletes.
Volleyball Day in Nebraska
Although this graphic is from my sophomore year, it is one of my favorite graphic I’ve created for athletics. Volleyball Day in Nebraska was a huge event for UNK, and it was an honor to be part of it. I featured a senior volleyball player and stuck with the same design style I used for regular-season games, but added Memorial Stadium in the background.
Volleyball Pinkout
This graphic was one of my favorites because I got to use pink which is not a normal color for me to use in my work graphics. I used an emboss and drop shadow text effects and I liked how it felt cohesive with the background but was still very readable.
Wrestling Graphic
This was the graphic I created for when we dualed against the top-ranked wrestling team in the nation. I used a grain effect to bring dimension to the background and help the athletes blend in and vignette around the edges to frame the middle of the graphic without feeling like there is too much white space.
